bullet Benjamin PROCTOR was born in 1760 in Rowan Co, NC. Date from pension record. He died on 4 Jul 1850 in Benton Co, Mo. He was a Circuit minister for the Methodist Church in Missouri. He was. He was, at a young age maimed in both arms, and therefore not eligible for military service. Nevertheless, Benjamin volunteered while living at Boonesboro, Ky. and served as scout and spy throughout the Revolutionary War.

He received a pension for his Revolutionary War service in Benton Co., Mo. in 1833 and received $80 per year from the government from Oct. 1833 until he died. He resided. Benjamion married in Madison Co and appears on the tax list in 1790 and 1800.
