bullet Milton LAWSON was born about 1818. Parents: Zachariah LAWSON and Nancy GRAVES.

bullet Nathan LAWSON was born about 1804 in Ky. He died between 1860 and 1870.

Following the Civil War, it's said the the KKK, headed by "Judge
Lynch", sought revenge on those they considered enemies (usually either
Republicans or families of Union soldiers, but sometimes for just purely
personal reasons). They would go to their
victims' homes in the middle of the night, roust them out of bed, and
either shoot them in the back as they ran, or hang them from a nearby
tree, and quite often they'd do both.

Note:

Nathan was one of their victims. Sometime between 1860 and 1878, he
was hung by the lynch mob, because he was a Republican. I believe that
Isaiah Gabhart (husb. of Mary Ann Hale and s.i.l. of Andrew Hale -
Peggy's cousin), was "Judge Lynch", and his
#2 and #3 men were Marion Coslow and Dean Carey (also Peggy's
cousin), all of them relatives, and related to most of their victims. What
goes around comes around, though, and in 1878, Isaiah Gabhart was
shot and killed in an argument about the
election. His widow married Eugene Carey, the son of his #3 man, Dean
Carey. He was Deed.
