PENSION RECORD: Burdine Farmer applied for Mexican War Survivor's Service Pension 9 April, 1887 at age 65. Burdine Farmer was disabled by reason of age, and "his physical disability arises from a disease of the kidneys." Burdine Farmer submitted as evidence "The notice of L. P. Waldo, Comm. of Pensions, May 21, 1855, No. 141.955 for Bounty Land on which I received Warrant for 40-acres. Also I received 'one months extra pay' for said service. [Bounty Land Claim 84276-120-55.]
February 23, 1893 at age 71, Burdine Farmer filed Declaration of the Increase of a Mexican War Service Pension, stating he was a pensioner enrolled at Knoxville, TN., and received $8 per month.
